are the equipments that scrappy werepig makes usable by the player?

i remember on the rhymes with play stream, the devs mentioned being able to use scrappy werepig's items against him, windwaker style. is it in the game right now, or is it coming later? (or am i just misremembering)

I've heard that too, I even tried fighting him with a cutless but nothing. 

I thought we were going to get something like 5 use weapons with high-ish damage. Fun but also impractical, specially versus bosses that require multiple tools like Fuelweaver or CK.

They just snuck in a hat made of his shoulder armor, but it does nothing currently.
