ancalidormis
Im imagining a sort of angler-like pop-eyed goldfish with a little straw for a lure on its head. It behaves sort of like a plug slug when it comes to having a day and night cycle. TL/DR: This dangerous little critter turns gases into decor and barbeque, but it can breathe up all the oxygen if left unattended. Day: During the day, it swims around happily, radiating high decor in a big radius with its happy little cheeks (swollen with gases). Night: During the night, its eyes begin to glow maliciously (and its cheek's shrink). It swims to the surface of the water and begins vacuuming gases into its body to use as a food source (refilling its cheeks). Mood: It can consume all gases, but gets a huge metabolism /morale boost for inhaling fresh o2. Otherwise its probably glum and floats on the bottom, looking sad. Morphs: Perhaps it has certain morphs that like different gases more than others, like co2, clorine, or polluted o2? pnambic
"Turns oxygen into decor and barbecue" sounds a lot like a longhair slickster to me. Still, more aquatic variety sure would be nice!
