I like Klaus, I would even go as far as to say he's the best boss fight design out of all of the bosses in the game.

- Hes easy to kill once you learn the mechanics, which you can easily learn in seconds by prove and error, without having to google it.

- The rewards for killing him can be either the best reward in the game or "meh", but in general you always get something useful. In best case scenario you get blueprints that are from other annoying bosses (Bee Queen, Toadstools). Also its in the form of a fun "gift opening" mechanic.

- Easily doable as singleplayer because he doesn't have some crazy HP pool like other bosses (**** Bee Queen)

- He even has a "hardmode" for the psychopaths that like to suffer

isn't that supposed to be a bad thing because that makes fighting him after the first time boring

you can get tallbird egg/mandrake/desert stone/deerclops eyeball/goose feather/malbatross bill/spider hat/lavae egg/steel wool/strident trident bp/one of the toadstool bps which aren't useful

which is the most boring fight in the game because he only uses 1 attack during p1 and 2 attacks during p2

you can kill all bosses even with x0.75 damage multiplier solo

Nah - You can learn how to fight him pretty easy, but there is still optimization to get into.  Too bad they nerfed his sack, that was a sad day for Klaus interactions to learn and vary the fight with... but w/e stack speed, learn the leap timing, and pray you don't have lag lol

It does suck to get the bad loots from him, but b/c the boss fight is pretty easy I can skip it if I have other important things to do.  So even if the loot isn't great, its not bad b/c I would have just not done him if I was able to more reliably get something else in that time.  1 malb feather tho? lol klei pls

I think we get your idea of "interesting" is "having room for development" or "looping with a different set of items". Sometimes people are thinking of the reward of completing it once every now and then over the dread of having to do it again.

Klaus has some nice touches to it like generally lasting long enough to go through a Winter's night and needing to manage light/thermal heat at least once, which a star trivializes but it's still relevant and fairly forgiving for people that don't use one.
