Well salt lick is only really needed if you doing alot of base building and not much travelling or fighting. A permanent one wouldnt be worth a skill point. Damage skills are better. Since salt licks are y'know SALT and now that we have had salt in the game for a while they can make an upgraded version that decays slower made of actual salt.
