Imo most important things for my are getting those character skins and item skins, the rest is kinda just there to be there. They are pretty though often than not. Vignettes are for loading screens anyway, something nice to remember from klei vids or events. I’m not sure how fast the game loads on PC, but I know that when I traded in my Xbox One to upgrade to the Series S that DSTs loading screens are much faster to the point that you’ll rarely ever see the loading screens. I wish that Klei would do something “Fun” with Vignettes like give us a Trade Inn Mini game that turns them into jigsaw or slider puzzles. As someone who plays on a Ps4 I can confirm that generating a new world takes up to a good 2 minutes, starting up a world as the host takes from 1 minute to 1 and a half minutes and joining a server takes like 40-50 seconds so vignettes are pretty handy to hide my pai- I mean nothing but I do find them pretty and they don’t cost that many spools to get so I do like to use them after experiencing the *cough* HIGH *dies* VARIETY of the 3 or 4 offline vignettes for 3 years straight. Winter’s Feast and Hallowed Nights only real purpose on those offline accounts were that the vignettes got temporarily replaced by a WHOPPING 3 Christmas or Halloween themed ones to save your eyes from falling out, oh and the event gets automatically turned on I guess. I may sound ridiculous but it started to get a little painful after a while with the VERY decent (sarcasm) loading times of a Ps4 oh and it’s not like things are better on a Ps5 either because you’ll still need to pay for that tasty Ps+ to save yourself from all this and be able to play with other players (online) which is basically the intended way to play DST (Together wow crazy I know) luckily now that Sony or whoever runs this Ps+ nonsense is now monthly taking my money so I can experience the joy of nobody talking on those few servers that don’t lag so hard that I can’t even move around. …Other than that DST is still my favorite game of all time.
