It's a good simple raid boss that acts as a nice introduction to them both difficulty and drop wise. The difficulty of the fight is rather simple as most of it comes down to skill and knowing when to use the right things. Even the wall method requires some knowledge to know how to not use an obscene amount of them for the fight. The drops are always useful due to the ruins gems she drops as well as giving the player the solution to a problem that most new players struggle with, meaning they have a higher chance of wanting to kill it as well. She's simple, effective, and rewarding. There is no need to change her besides making her larva spawning pattern more consistent. I think that Dragonfly is a great starter boss. It is one of the most accessible bosses being available in any season and being present in a predetermined location. I think dragonfly is often one of the first non-seasonal bosses that new players work towards defeating. You can run away from the fight at almost any point and dragonfly will eventually stop chasing you. Once you have done enough damage to trigger the first lavae phase, the fight completely changes and (in most cases) you have to use the tools or infrastructure that you prepared ahead of time to finish the fight. All of that being said, I think that the Dragonfly fight could definitely be improved. I'm not sure that I want it to be improved though. think that Klei has done a really good job implementing the newer bosses introduced into the game. Nightmare Werepig is currently one of my favorite bosses to fight. Instead of improving Dragonfly, I think that we would have a lot more to gain if Klei focused their efforts on creating new bosses (I wouldn't be opposed to celestial zombie version of dragonfly). arubaro
i would prefer a fight in which you could telegraph her atacks instead of counting to 6 or 7 until boredom the length is fair and the lavae are fair since the last changes to them, is just that the community have many lazy players stuck in their confort zone 33 minutes ago, Keller Max said: Freeze Larvae or DF? lavae lol just 3 hits with an ice staff are needed to kill them. You waste just few ice staves to make the fight faster and funnier than waiting Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/152291-the-state-of-dragonfly-should-there-be-a-rework-is-the-fight-fair-unbalanced-well-designed-or-cheap/page/2/#findComment-1678602 Share on other sites

And by shows, I mean anime. -Dragonfly is clearly designed to be tackled with multiple people. and yet the necessity to fight larvae has always been negated by the use of walls whether people played solo or in coop so the larvae aspect is meaningless when it comes to solo vs team considerations.
