Marble armor should protect the beefalo rider from knockback attacks.

Woby cant die and can run from any threat also, Walter has no need for bee queen hat and the bone helm has high durability it will last a while especially if you only use it for utility purposes with the bone armour. Bone helm removes walters downside too, fight with body armour and pinecone hat until you go insane then switch to bone helm.

Also a mag/cane provides all the speed boost you need for combat.

In my opinion, pre-skill tree woby is a million times better than a beefalo in terms of the amount of effort required for the reward/usefulness. Walter and woby will only get better once the skill tree drops!

No he isnt. Beefalos are faster, safer, and better in every way.

You would have to drop off your backpack, and you are still not fast enough to easily get mobs off your tail. You dont need to do any item switching or anything.

They also can die hence the whole reason this topic was created and take alot longer to setup. "Safer" is it really safer than 100% damage reducing bone armour? Or even marble armour? No its not safer.

Good job Klei thought of this when they gave woby 9 extra inventory slots meaning Walter is indirectly buffed using all body slot armour/clothing as he doesnt need a backpack. Walter is buffed for summer/winter insulation because of this and even if you dont want to tame a beefalo or ride big woby, walter is buffed in using the mag.
