Questions about butterfly light out

Recommended Posts

hello
I would like to know if there is any way to get butterflies in the light out challenge?
Because butterflies are needed to plant flowers in locations of your choice, thus being able to better organize resources, and 10 flowers are also needed for Crabby Hermit's tasks, making this a lot of work in the light out challenge.
Note: I don't use mods and commands, I would like to get the butterflies legitimately

Thank you for your attention and I apologize if it is difficult to understand as I used Google Translate to create this topic

Catcoon has a very rare chance of spitting out a live one as a gift. Note that you must catch it before catcoon kills it. Screenshot_20231021-220136_Chrome.thumb.jpg.be85fbb10664ecf21aec1e0c4d75ed6d.jpg

I don't think there's a way to get butterflies, but you can use bees to plant more flowers, once they've pollinated 6 flowers they'll plant a flower

You can't, bees sleep in the night, they will never pollinate flowers, and they don't work offscreen either.

In short, flowers are pretty rare (idk if they regen during spring?). Probably best to leave them alone.

0.1% turn a challenging task that should be fun into something discouraging

thank you all for the answers

Since we're talking about lights out I'd like to suggest something:

Fix farming, add some kind of night bird (owls) to drop seeds in the night. Have plants grow at half the speed at night (only in lights out similarly to how pearl works) so starcallers are still encouraged but not required.

I love lights out but wicker is almost required to farm which is just not fun

Which wiki, specifically? I use whatever wiki pops first on the search list.

Trading with the king pig in light out mode

I play Maxwell the vast majority of the time because how good his sanity regen and ability to use wicker's books are so my gold use is covered by klaus but I can imagine that being really annoying

You can

torch a bee hive, catch bees and put out the fire, that way you get regular bees

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_large_numbers

You need a very large sample size(like 1000) for the frequency of an event to be close to the theoretical probability of it

Last time I played those regular bees just stayed on the ground permanently. They never moved around to pollinate flower.

odd, homeless bees (ones you catch with a bugnet) shouldn't sleep. They even do it in the caves. Maybe they're programmed to always try and sleep in Light's Out world

this calls for some testing
