cyberwarlord
This is now the 5th colony this game has stopped working. I don't know why this keeps happening. I'm not even using mods at all anymore. Fresh reinstall. New game. It gets to a point every time where either the game starts crashing during the save or no longer loads the save files. Not even older ones. This colony was only on the dlc starter world. WHYWHYWYY?
Primalflower
could you send your log after loading the game and crashing? Edited October 10 by Primalflower

Maybe file a bug report for it? https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/oni_so/ It seems to me that either you don't have enough RAM or your CPU can't handle the game anymore. But that's just guesses without a log or a save file.

Just closes the game out. noticed steam also crashing alot. Tried other games, still doing ok with no issue. Starting to think its steam or something with how it's saved. cyberwarlord
Ok, we have made some strides. Tuned steam, alot. Run under admin for some reason. Reduce work orders in game when saving. Fresh install of both. It's working again but takes so long to load an crashes if you touch it. Once loafed, it runs fine. Even recovering my last colony. Not sure whats helping an whats not but I'm happy. Few hundred hours already lost.

Sasza22
Maybe check your antivirus and add ONI as exception. I had issues with AVG a few updates ago where it would block the game from saving on the hard drive so it would crash each cycle (but still somehow save the game).

The ram might be an issue, but so far it looks like steam an antivirus are eating up my cpu. It's just a decent gaming laptop. 9 hours ago, Sasza22 said: Maybe check your antivirus and add ONI as exception. It does still save about 50% of the crashes. I've read this so maybe I'll try that next. Making sure I run it in admin mode made a big difference. cyberwarlord
Finally got it working. Something with steam and file sharing/asset locations. Loading an saving work so much better.
