Recent update to Notification coloring makes tracking messages hard

I said recent in the title, but I honestly can't remember just how long ago this was changed.
I trust my memory more than my eyes, but the background coloration of the read notifications seems to have been changed, with the new color being almost impossible to tell apart from the unread color.

I'm hoping these can be changed to be easier to tell apart, it makes keeping up with what I have and haven't read a lot harder.
