How did Willow become an orphan?

WAAAAAIT AN IDEA AS TO HOW WILLOW BECAME AN ORPHAN!!!

TRIGGER WARNING: This contains death/family loss, a depiction of a witch hunt, and abandonment. If you aren’t comfortable with those things, please don’t read this

 

 

It’s implied that Willow is a witch right?

What if she was born into a family that dabbled in dark magic? A family of witches?

My idea is that a mob had stormed into Willow’s home, that was within a village of sorts, and killed her parents. As for Willow herself, who at the time was just a recently born baby, had been left to die within the home
 

Later on (not too long after the mob had left maybe?) the same foster home women (from Willow’s short) find baby Willow and take her into foster care
 

Extra thing, more of a hc: Bc Willow was found in a hut that belonged to witches, the foster attempted to save Willow, fix her and have her repent for her sins. Although, it doesn’t go swimmingly, as Willow is very stubborn. And bc of the orphanage fire, she never really got saved
 

As for the magic Willow’s family did, is it like the Codex’s magic? I like to think so :)))
