World Generation Suggestions

I wanted to make a thread that encompasses all world generation suggestions. If you have any suggestions that you'd like to see added to the world generation menu please post them here.

One I'd like to see is the ability to make lands/biomes disconnected as if they were all islands, such as a desert island, a grasslands island, a deciduous forest island, and so on. I also think this might help encourage players to explore the ocean more as they would be required to do so in order to obtain resources.

Klei made a compendium that fills in content as you discover/use it, and they made a craft UI inventory that lets you view every craftable item in the game (even if you don’t know how yet or if only a certain character can make it.)

Items you can’t yet craft or can’t craft, appear greyed out or “locked” so I for one think it would be interesting if I could actually DO THAT and “Lock” certain items from being craftable within the server.

Such as just one example: not being able to craft a Shovel. 

sounds pretty pointless right? But you wouldn’t be able to dig up gravesites, clear gardens of debris, shovel up grass, Saplings or berry bushes and relocate them to your base.

You'd have to do that with some Unconventional method.. such as Meteor Showers, Deerclops, Bearger, Woodies Beaver Tail Slam, etc..

imagine how drastically you could change the game if you could toggle not being able to craft a razor, Wilson & Webber couldn’t ever shave, you’d have to KILL Beefalo to gather their wool for Winter gear and Bernie dolls, etc…

Im sure this would be a MASSIVE undertaking, but it would be fun to have more control over things like that.

Also players can toggle Wildfires to happen MUCH MoRE OFTEN, most players admit to turning them off completely just like they used to do with Disease, but this leads me to a serious question to ask:

If most players disable wildfires, but there’s an actual setting to toggle them MORE OFTEN, why can’t we have content that’s actually designed that way??

as in adding new content to these world Gen options that the player can opt into toggling on should they desire?

Such as for example the lunar hailstorms that kill mobs, why not have some content that’s OFF by Default that can be opted into by toggling it on in Settings?

Similar to how Minecraft has the Beta toggles to opt into & out of experimental gameplay features.
