I found some strange structure, has anyone found this before? (by the way, in this world I died from a pig)

This is one of the rarest set pieces in this game. I've only seen it once

The first time I saw that setpiece in DST I was surprised because I thought that the Basalt was unused.

This is the "Imprisoned Pig" set piece. As others have said, it is one of if not the rarest set pieces in the game.
The basalt is completely indestructible by both you and any monsters, which can make it useful for trapping bosses or other things.
It is also the ONLY way to get basalt in your world

While this is technically true, dreadstone pillars can serve the same purpose and can be placed anyway. Notably, there aren't a lot of bosses you can trap anyway - Spider Queen, Deerclops, Klaus and Poison Birch will despawn passively, Lord of the Fruit Flies, Dragonfly, Malbatross and Bee queen are flying mobs that ignore structures anyway. The only bosses you could really keep trapped long-term are bearger, caves stalker, FW, CC, Treeguard (Although it can't bust down walls anyway), Nightmare werepig (Assuming you don't procc it's slam and/or keep it above half hp), and Toadstool.

So practically speaking, all this lets you do is trap Bearger. Which isn't nothing but idk if id call it anything more than nifty.

I wish we had more set pieces like this being added from time to time and this one specifically and a couple of other extraordinarily rare ones to be made a bit more common, it's nice to see people discovering these for the first time though.
