Cola No Pepsi Posted September 12, 2023 Share Posted September 12, 2023 Not really sure where to ask this question, but I'm having some trouble with. Currently hosting a dst server (using steam, not dedicated) with caves enabled. There is no password set on the server, and it is set to friends only (3 slots, just me and him playing). I can enter the caves just fine, presumably because I'm the host, but whenever my friend attempts to enter the caves, he gets a bad password error, despite no passwords being set. This isn't the first time this has happened too, with other friends not being able to connect to the caves on previous worlds. I have tried reinstalling the game and verifying files, but the problem still persists. We have no mods enabled, so it's not a mod issue. Interestingly, I'm able to join the caves on his world without issue. Would appreciate any advice on the matter. kiwikenobi Posted September 13, 2023 Share Posted September 13, 2023 I've never heard of that issue, but I have a few thoughts on troubleshooting: Have you tried adding a password, and having your friend input it, just to see what happens? Or temporarily trying the world set to allow anyone, not just friends, and limit it to just two slots so that once the two of you are in, no one else can join and mess things up? Seems to only be the caves, as there is no issue with connecting to and playing on the overworld. Since we're using steam rather than a dedicated server, I've never really delved into the world or server files, but could the issue lie somewhere in the world's cave folder?
