Better alternative to getting white feathers than just Wicker books, and an idea for a revised blowdart.

There's always so many hound teeth and now there's a way to get a ton of reeds. Blowdarts are a kind of a cowardly weapon but it's not a fun way to look at when you put plenty of hours into gathering these materials just to do plenty of damage. Gunpowder is a more effective weapon overall cause it's just more practical to get. Unless you have a Wicker to set up bird farms which is a sort of a hassle.

So I come to ask for a mechanic to have snowbirds also get poisoned like canaries or feel unwell from a change of weather and still staying. Freeing them would give hefty amounts of feathers like from canaries and that would do well to supply a decent ranged arsenal for future combat.

On the side note, suggesting perhaps on changing blowdarts overall to be a weapon you could load with blowdart charges instead of crafting every single pipe along with it. Could have it crafted or dropped by Walrus and would be an excellent weapon to have those charges a reed cheaper to craft perhaps?

Just saying, there could be more fun to be had with a ranged weapon if it were to rival with Walter but wouldn't surpass him once he gets his skill tree. This is just one of suggestions for items that could use a fresher look in life and better approach than how they came out since of earliest days of DS.

They should give more darts per craft, at least 2. They are really bad for everyone who can not mass farm birds.

Also increase their stack size because it is really annoying without auto weapon equipping that consle has.

Year ago I made a big suggestion on how and why Klei should add Mumsy and Billy to dst, with their own little setpiece on the map.

One idea was that pigeons would spawn in that setpiece year-round, giving us an easy source of white feathers
