Is there any other way to manually save DST? (on Xbox)

Ever since the latest patch my game crashes everytime I manually disconnect (xbox series x) while playing in local coop mode. It goes to a loading screen for a few seconds and then the game completely crashes and exits. When I return all progress since the last day change is gone. Tried reinstalling multiple times, hard reset etc nothing works. 

 

So until a patch comes along seemingly the only way I can save the game seems to be the autosave when days change. 

 

If anyone has any advice or workarounds (for either the bug or manually saving) greatly appreciate it!

Any time you see the little wheel icon in the lower corner your game is saving, and I don’t know what exactly causes it.. but maybe you can try crafting an item, sleeping in a tent, etc.. having to wait till the next game day isn’t the only time the game saves.

I had this same crashing problem too and again I don’t exactly know what causes it, but I know how to FIX it.. unfortunately it involves rolling your world back by a day, but it will fix it (or did for me anyway..) and you’ll be able to load your world again.

I think my exact issue was that when my game tried to save I was transformed into Goose Woodie, and I had just earned a new “Insight” Point so anytime I tried to load this world my game would only get to the loading menu then crash to Xbox dashboard.

The only fix I found was to roll my world back a day or two to before I had become goose (insight doesn’t roll back) 

If I had to take a wild guess it’s a bug/crash tied to you or someone in your world earning insight points.. but that’s just a wild guess… I’m no game developer and wouldn’t want to send Klei on a Wild Goose chase.

Unfortunately I don't have any advice but the game (64-bit) started freezing / hanging upon disconnecting plus exiting the game on GNU/Linux recently as well. It used to run perfectly.

There was no insight earned for sure in my game (one person was webber, and I was woodie albeit with insight maxed out) 

 

Potentially it's an issue with woodie though? 

But my issue isn't with loading the game, it's saving the game. If I hit disconnect the game crashes before it saves. Thus reverting to the last previous save

It is possible it’s an issue with Woodie, Woodies Wereforms, or Woodies new Crafts (like the wooden walking stick or tree guard idols) because I’ve only ever had this is happen while playing as Woodie.

Before you host your world go to the rollback tab, and roll it back by a day or two (you can roll it back to like 5 days ago I think) It should fix your issue, it worked for mine & I haven’t experienced it again since.

In my specific case, I had to turn off my Xbox just as I was transforming into a Wereform cause a thunderstorm was in my local area, when the weather cleared up and I tried to play again it would load for a few moments then crash to the dashboard (Xbox Series S) Rolling back before trying to host again seemed to fix mine and hopefully it will fix yours as well, best of luck!
