Swap the carrats and lightbugs skills

Carrats do not feel like a good affinity skill and it punishes everyone who doesn't want to farm. 

Light is far more universal, and unlike most affinity skills wormwood has to pay for it (20hp to be usable). So it's already balanced around itself. 

With the new skill tree it is very likely those who spend a lot of time on base and not in battle may already take carrats and lightbugs over offensive skills.

Lightbugs are a minor improvement over a miner hat due to them being unreliable. They may fizzle out mid battle and it is more comfortable to use them alongside other light sources (or having them on hand). 

 i had this idea too but after playing with the pets more ive changed my mind.


I find the carrats waaaay more useful than the lightbugs tbh and im not growing giants, theyre only 5 hp so u can always have at least one out to pick up stuff like juicy berries, edible mob loot, random rot etc. Its not much but it saves time. 

lightbug is 10 freaking hp for a pointless amount of moving light that dies after 2,5 days if it doesnt get killed sooner.

AND it cant keep up with blooming wormwood + cane + road or beefalo leaving u in the dark. Also they get stuck on land borders like crazy in the caves. I dont see a use for them theyre genuinely horrible. How do u use them? 

with the trap skill u cant have enough living logs ever imo :lol: so the 10 hp for a single lightbug is just super bad. 

and like u said elsewhere once u have CC crown lightbug basically becomes a dead skill whereas carrat will always be useful for what it does.
