Nintendo just takes a long time to certify things. For example ConcernedApe of Stardew Valley fame was open about the approval for that games 1.5 update taking a long time on Switch, and the Sun Haven team has occasionally commented on the switch being a harder console to develop for (with them having been working on 1.0 for switch for a while). Even games like Teraria have switch updates take MUCH longer to get approved than other consoles. NGL I've actually been REALLY impressed at how fast the switch updates have been coming in comparison to other consoles, given just how notorious Nintendo is about this. It's one of those "It'll be ready when it's ready" things in that the only time we can be reasonably sure of the ship date is right before it ships, so I don't really have more to tell you sadly. The longest time between two update is about three months. So maybe good thing will happen.
