Compressing 'plant crafting' and 'farmhand'

Recommended Posts

After toying around with Wormwood's skill tree, I've found a lot of his perks are very fun, though I can't help but feel it could be expanded on just a tad bit more!

The first thing that shoots to mind is the plant crafting 'chunk'.

I actually really like the idea of Wormwood being able to craft plants, it's fun and beneficial.
Though, what's been irking me is that this entire chunk is dedicated to it! I personally think this could be condensed a bit into 1 or 2 perks!
Have both berry bushes fit into one 'bush crafting' perk with the saplings and monkey tails into another perk.
Or maybe merge them all into one perk. (This'd make it less of an investment though.)

In place of the now freed up perk slots, you could do something with Wormwoods Bramble crafts!
I've seen a lot of desire for the ability to quickly reset his traps. Maybe something fun with his armor, like making it repairable with stuff Worm can heal with. There's a lot of possibilities!

Additionally, I feel the same could be done with Wormwood's farmhand perks! (Including Fly Trap to a degree.)
I feel like these are the main offender to taking up perk slots. I think the 3 could be merged into one perk to just be a buff to his tending range whilst replacing the free slots with other farm related perks.
Or maybe entirely different perks, there's room to get creative.
I've seen suggestions both for and against farming as a trait, I think something to do with his wild crops might be an interesting direction. Room to experiment!

Now, for Flytrap, I've fallen in love with the idea of being able to pick up and use the Fruit Flies yourself. Being able to keep/relocate them would be a dream for weed growing. I'd love that. Otherwise I think attracting the LOTFF seems a bit odd for a perk.

Anyhow that's my thoughts on those two specific lines, nothing is lost, AND it makes room for some more experimentation with perks, I think it'd be fun for both parties.
