Bug. Desolands moonlet: Geodes do not/seldom spawn if another map gen-altering world traits in play

Recommended Posts

After further investigations it seems Geodes appear to struggle spawning period on the Desolands, a maximum of 1 being observed even with only geodes active

Acknowledge

When other map-wide altering traits are in play eg: volcanoes, boulders, satelites, magma channels, metallic caves. Geodes seldom if at all spawn. This is likely due to the space constraints but to give boulders priority over geodes just seems... wrong... boulders are so boring.

Found even with dedicated Geode Desolands moonlets, it's total chance whether any spawn at all.

When they do spawn, a single geode... seems a bit lackluster? 2 minimum surely?

Loaded a metalic swamp - double trait 1 geode spawned.

I had a similar issue with volcanoes trait a while ago. I got pretty disappointed when I explored my starting planetoid just to find out there wasn't a single volcano on it. Guess there wasn't enough space to fit it, but there was enough space to spawn 2 empty ruin rooms for teleporters disabled in map settings.. :wilson_facepalm:

Samesies, I hunt for Geode traits because I enjoy the gamble of what's hidden inside. To spend 20-30 cycles exploring to find zero... is a real bummer.
But also found similiaar with Volcanoes. If I select the trait, at most I get 1 volcano, maybe an extra minor one...:wilson_enraged:

Same here; i'm going for a all achivements run and was hoping to find at least one geode with hydrogen. There is a single geode, with natural gas, on the bottom edge of the core biome. Very disappointing.
