Another membe Posted April 10, 2023 Share Posted April 10, 2023 Posting this here because pretty much no one checks the ps4 forum. So, this began happening several years ago (somewhere in october 2021 to be precise, so maybe an update caused it?) and haven't stopped since, and no matter what we try, nothing helps. To be more clear - i am unable to join my friend's server, and she is unable to join mine, no matter what we do. and it only happens with her. If we both join a klei server - everything is fine and we can play. Likewise, If we have a mutual friend hosting a world, everything is fine. BUT, if i attempt to join her "friend only" world, it says that we are not friends and i am unable to join (despite her sending me an invite). If she makes the world public, i instead get a "Server not responding. Please try again" message. Same is true if i attempt to host - she is unable to join. I have not tried to get one of our mutual friends to join a server hosted by me, but i will tomorrow when i wake up. This is also not an internet issue, because we are perfectly capable of playing together on public/other people's servers, and i doubt that internet would be an issue if this is the third house i've been in (and even in a different country at one point) I also deleted and installed dst again, and also tried unfriending and becoming friends again with Her, but nothing helped. Ps4's "Check internet connection" menu shows that NAT is 2 (So not an issue related to that) One more thing - at first her ping showed up as "???" (No connection at all), but now it shows up properly - in the range of 50-65, so should technically be fine, and yet we still can't play together (the issues described above still happen, despite the normal looking ping) So, what could this be? im getting desperate at this point, and really want to know why we cannot play properly. If this isn't a dst issue after all, does anyone smarter than me know what causes this? Is one of you appearing offline?
