New 'germ' Mechanic: Delicious Scent

For the really high quality foods, I think an interesting mechanic is possible by adding a new positive scent to float through the oxygen, the smell of a freshly prepared meal, or as I put it in the title, "Delicious Scent." After a meal is finished cooking and spit out of the gas oven, it could fill the surrounding area with a burst of these delicious 'germs' to waft through the oxygen.

 

Dupes that come into contact could gain some of the following:

- Slightly increased athletics for a short duration (or more if you want to scale it with how hungry they are)

- Reduced stress for a short duration

- Slightly increased efficiency (think 'lit workspace' buff, but weaker)

- Increased consumption rate

But with the possible 'affliction' of:

- Increased hunger drain

- Decreased efficiency

 

Delicious scent does not propagate, it travels and fades over time, substantially moreso if it touches anything that isn't clean oxygen (for obvious reasons).

 

This could scale in a number of ways if desired...

- Strength of the scent (amount of germs) could increase/decrease based on the quality of the food produced or it could just be a flat number for all options from the gas oven

- Dupes could be affected differently either randomly, based on their current stats (hungry, etc), or uniquely similar to the stress & overjoyed reactions

- Food morale perks/quirks could be factored in to affect these buffs accordingly

 

Could probably pave the way for other variations of this too... (looking at you, 'citrus' scent deodorizer)
