The infrastructural investment is lower but the maintenance cost is far higher than blast doors and lasers, and not getting any resources from the meteors themselves makes the cost even higher. I can *maybe* see myself using one on the regolith planet while I'm building the laser infrastructure, but other than that it's a pure waste of resources. So my suggestion is: blasted meteors that normally turn into tiles should drop 50% of their contents as debris, same as if they were mined. Meteors that leave no tiles behind should drop 100%. Mooteors should drop meat instead (the full amount). This would make meteor blasters trade complex infrastructure for higher running costs.
