who else is excited the character reworks are finally over

The only character i believe needs an urgent second rework is Willow.

Especially now that wilson can upgrade his torch, Willows lighter is looking abit weak for a pyromanic character. She just needs some sort of offensive fire attack ability. Or atleast make loot not burn up if Willow is the one to light mobs on fire. That way you could uniquely benefit from mob fire panic as Willow without the risk of losing drops.

Walters early game QoL with his easy access beefalo, no sanity drain outta combat and extra inventory space makes me pick him over all other characters... a small buff to his kit would be nice but isn't required. He is underrated by the community massively. Walter is the single best character to start a new world with, yes other characters have a better mid to late game but first autumn and winter are by far the most important seasons for progress in the game and Walter is King of the early game!

People say Woodie is outclassed by maxwell now... and tbh hes not. Maxwell requires you constantly go out of your way to farm nightmare fuel . And to buff his duelists you need to tech up with magic or rush ruins. Woodies moose form is incredibly strong and easily amassed. Woodie with a wortox player is probably one of the strongest duo pairs for speedrunning bosses. As both have a mix of good exploration ability with cheap strong combat perks accessed straight out of the portal.

Winona is abit boring but then again, catapults are very very very very very very powerful (can rush bee queen day 10 on pubs while also leaving catapults for other players to use to farm bee queen is insanely strong) winona is just a less selfish and ultimately stronger wendy by allowing others to make use of your catapults. Does winona really need more?  No.... possiblity some more flavour perks but nothing op.

About the lag he makes I agree, but I am not sure if there is a solution for that, I think they tried to fix that by allowing us to give the spiders helmets, so you could have a lower number of more resistant and self healing spiders. Technically that kinda works, but I don’t think many people uses that because of how expensive that can be.

Since his spider is weak, he is forced to be a quantity over quality type of character and that cause problem because it force him to become a moving lag machine

the idea to fix this problem is quite simple, turn him into a quality over quantity character

rather than having mutiple weak spider, they can give him an ability to train them to be more intelligent and stronger (and no, not just by turn them into warrior or cave spider), the trade back is he can only do this for a fixed number of spider (maybe the spider get jealous when seeing Webber caring about one spider more than the other when he train them?)

and dear god, plz make those spider become a separate entity, the current way DST handle firendly spider is to add a new tag to the OG spider instead of making a new entity

this cause a lot of annoying problem like them accidentally get trapped, attacking stuff like Winona's catapult, eating your food on the ground,... because technically they are still the OG spider

They really need to rework Webber again because Wurt is him but better

This is very debatable merms definitely hit a lot harder than spiders and harvest resources but on the flipside spiders offer more control, niche applications like hands free light, infinite healing, free ranged attacks and healing making them far more tanky than merms they both have their ups and downs but what they do more or less evens out if you look at it from all angles. If there is one change I hope kiel would make to doodles is to lower the price of doodles across the board I feel like each doodle aside from nurses should cost:

1 monster meat, 1 silk, 1 of the required resource while making 3 doodles per batch

also I kinda feel like the depth dweller recipe should be made of something different bunnymen aren't really worth farming and I know the maze exists but I feel like webber should have easier access to mass produce his doodles overall as I find that to be his main weak point.

- his spiders are weak, can't kite and only be somewhat "powerful" in huge quantity, which also turn him into a lag machine (then 3-4 AoE hit from boss is enough to nuke them all)

Personally I like this aspect as it gives you a real zerg rush feel to combat but I wish I didn't have to worry about lagging people with my hordes.

- able to eat Monster Meat/Jerky and Monster Lasagna is not useful at all

Interestingly this perk also applies to all raw meats and spoiled meats of all kinds still not super useful but I feel like it's a nice flavor perk from his spider side.

Personally I still stand by the only real issue is his slingshot feeling lackluster in both damage output and crowd control though honestly I'd more prefer they focused on the crowd control aspect of his slingshot as of late.

Rather than being outclassed by Maxwell I'd more so just say that his moose and to a lesser extent his goose forms aren't very good or even very useful.

more or less agree with the other 2 though a new machine for Winona wouldn't hurt

WW mains would disagree probably, but I think he is a team/support oriented character, although he can do things on his own very well, but his perks shine more on a team. So if you’ve been playing solo and he feels a bit dull at times I feel you, it has happened to me too. But on a team an experienced wormwood is amazing.

Oh hi, WW main here. uh. Everything you said is true. With the exception of playing solo. I exclusively play solo and I gotta say: The living log feature and inability to heal via food alone make Wormwood so much fun to play. (But then again I hate healing from food. It upsets me.) Just me personally don't change anything about wormwood. Nothing. Touch. Nothing.
If you want to "refresh" Wormwood just give him like. 2 or 3 new crafts in the Greenthumb tab that are yknow, logical.
