请指教?我想知道幽暗荆棘是否适合我的维多利亚花园/未来的墓地?

The gloomthorn looks nice.I think you can start with other decorative items, such as changing the skin of the stonetable and woodfence、planting evilflower、placing totallynormal tree and so on.Some crops(especially asparagusfern、pumpkinplant、pomegranatebranch、duriavine)are also suitable for decorating as "flowers" after being spritz.I may personally prefer yellow or red (I can't find the right orange in dst) to balance the green ground and the purple trees.

well the table and the fence are where i want them to be(i just need to weave the chair) but i was thinking about changing the bells to purple ones. you are right about the asparagus though! the old version of the garden had a couple at one point. i can try your advice with the yellow flowers and the totally normal tree though that will take a little bit since i still need to wait for the beta to end so i can do grave relocation. thankyou for so much advice<3<3<3 i am excited to finish this one ^^

unfortunately i the spritz is currently out of my hands. i am not skilful enough for the rift stuff x''D i would have to invite someone with talent into my world, hahaha

ive never tried it but can you make the shadowcraft plinth without rifts open? it needs dreadstone and pure horror which you can get from the werepig, albeit slowly and painfully…

no idea, i had to get someone else to do the celestial champion in my longterm because i simply could not manage it(he did it twice, lol) so not really thinking i could fight the pig that totalled the same guy multiple times

You can. Just have to get the dreadstone from Daywalker to craft it, and the pure horror from Daywalker to craft the spritz, since it doesn't require tatters.

Lovely stuff!
Those sunflowers are so taalll. :wilson_love:
Adding grumble fur to the beehives is a nice touch.
Is this mod available?

Thank you! These sunflowers came a long way but I can say I love their current design. I was a bit uncertain whether or not they felt out of place but I think I was… overthinking~

I might be making it available soon!

For now here is the evolution of my sunflowers:

If it services you in any way I think they look great and fits the game perfectly!
Love to see the process along the way. I keep all my sketches too lol.

I think it's good. There are some mods that have good ideas, but their art style is far from dst, which is why I don't like using them very much.I like the fact that your content art style is closer to dst than other mods,I love these sunflowers and grumblebee'nests. But to be honest,I think the beehives need some tweaking to get closer to dst.

I deff agree about the art-style of mods!

The main reason I am making this mod is because I have a certain vision for content for my worlds that I really want to see come to life. Though I do take opinions into considering (especially when it comes to needing potential tweaks to my animations or art), ultimately my main priority is ~*~me~*~ because I am making this mod for me and my close friends.

I have hesitancy to make it public because I've seen and have had people steal things from my mods before and I really don't want that to happen with this.

I try to always draw inspiration from something in game as my references, whether it be from DST or the DLC. For example:

My grumble bee hives are just a mash up of hives, grumbles and one of my favorite light items from the cawnival event~

:wilson_flower:

Anyway have you guys ever heard the children's song, "Down by the Bay?"

Down by the bay ♪
where the watermelons grow. ♪
Back to my home ♪
I dare not go. ♪
For if I do ♪
my mother will say, ♪
“Did you ever see a bear combing his hair?”
Down by the bay. ♪

The name of this island is Bumblebear Bay and I decided to give it some planted watermelon, hat tipping to one of my fav children's songs as a kid u,,u

Maybe I didn't notice the language difference or the choice of words was inaccurate, but I don't mean to criticize your mod and decision maliciously.

Some people don't quite hold the same etiquette when it comes to who owns what in a mod, either due to being from different cultures or just having different personal standards, but please don't let this discourage you from making it public. In my experience, it is the most satisfying thing in the world to see people playing around and building with stuff that you made yourself. I'd love to be able to decorate my base with those fallen logs.

I'm playing Island Adventures and I realized that I have very little inspiration to make a reasonably aesthetic base for Shipwrecked, so I had the idea of coming here to look for references and I realized that there is a lack in this theme, so I decided to bring the theme suggestion for the basebuilders (whether inside or outside the volcano/islands, SW DLC, Island Adventures, The Architect Pack or whatever).

Went and took some screenshots of my old SW/Ham base from near half a decade ago. Apologies for the mess, I was NOT good with storage back then. Lack of skins/outside furniture also makes things feel a little empty, but that's the limitations of the time really. I'd love to try something like this again in Island Adventures, maybe I will... anyway here's the screenshots lol

I took a little break from DST recently so I didn't do much in my world but I would like to share something that I've been working on before the break. It's finally coming together!

Lunar Island Part I: Farms and crafting area

image.png.ea78b6153accc30de91fde334e48445c.png

I got blessed with Lunar Island close to my base, and I connected it with a bridge to my main base in Oasis Desert. I already showed pictures of my Lunar bridge in one of my older posts so I won't post them again. But I do think of decorating it a bit more with some new ideas I got from working on my CC arena.

Here's a close-up map of my Lunar Island (rotated 90 degrees as I do when I approach it from the bridge). This post is gonna show just the bottom part you can see right after entering Lunar Island:

image.png.199116224b712a7f428aa7d756a476ec.png

The entrance to my Lunar Island:image.png.f7baa3e00f54a8ecaedf2662e9c47d80.png

I like lunar theme but I don't like the monotony of blue/cyan colors, so I tried to compliment it with some white and green stuff. I love this combination and have a few similar themed builds around my Celestial Portal and in Moon Stone Forest, which I can show later.

On the left side by the entrance I have a spare Celestial Tribute installed into a single lunar fissure closest to the bridge. I use this as my main lunar crafting station because it's close to my base and I don't need to run further into the island to CC arena. It's also convenient to store some materials for crafts in the chests without worrying that CC meteors destroy them when I activate the fight. And of course I could use the Celestial Orb as a crafting station instead, but I like keeping it by CC arena so I don't forget it each time I kill him.

image.png.f6355d552a58a11ca57d15bea0bd6692.png

On the right side across the altar I have a little Hallowed Nights crafting area for farming lunar essence. It's nice to have it here on Lunar where I can get materials for them and not worry about the sanity drain from crafting them. image.png.5728740a64007354e86aeb59e9d94686.png

The sanity drain from crafting lunar essence is solved with a little cozy sanity station nearby which works the best on full moons when all three fissures are open:image.png.08a756a56b2e13765fb0c4337c4a1f11.png

And here's a little area nearby where I mass farm lune moth wings and lune flowers as Winona: image.png.9db56bb2b5f6c4b981f5c0568f44a831.png

Work in progress before I decorated this area. A friend playing Maxwell/Wicker is very helpful for making all of these densely packed trees grow at once, but it works fine without books as well:image.png.3fc9bafa053c0e57fc90e785651fdc50.png

This part of lunar used to be a lune tree forest infested with spider nests but I cleared them all and turned the space into Maxwell farms. Some shattered spider nests are still untouched in my Lunar Beach Preserve, if I ever decide to play Webber in this world (probably never, lol). Anyway, here's the stone fruit farm:image.png.98d3dc81cb360522336fe1337db8fa55.png

The reed farm: image.png.7f2812493d280b61da91bca8eab5ee89.png

The fish farm:image.png.9036fc7f9f278a688e799f5c3fc8c32e.png

A little beefalo parking lot:image.png.fa7b654b06b2659c095bf9f2b75a0369.png

I'm trying to brighten up the surroundings a bit by turning them into a lunar garden, but it's still WIP: image.png.7a33cc1d4f2771fc8af4a8b4440bad1a.png

In this abandoned corner there's my old feather pensil/krampus sack farm which is currently not in use and is not decorated either. With the amount of Krampus sacks I already have in this world I don't think I need it anymore and probably will dismantle it and turn the rest into a Lunar Island port combined with Malbatross dock.image.png.34e37434f94144425633f0e893c3f92e.png

Stay tuned for part II where I show my CC arena!

Thanks to @raniskogfor posing on some of these pictures with me and helping to set up the sanity station!

@Lovens Ahhh, I love your Lunar builds so much!! For some more lunar-themed builds, here's my moonstone set up, inspired by yours and the great idea of using relic chairs to get in and out:

The Moonstone:

moonstone1.png.a9abec0ea1e91874cb298182c3df167f.png

moonstone2.png.050ca9e86872f4e6e8e581329e76c8e9.png

The statues keep the werepigs/hounds away from the moonstone, and I've been using it to farm moonrock with Wickerbottom by reading the Lunar Grimoire and turning all the long winter nights into full moons. Each time you put a star caller staff into the moonstone, 6 werepigs/hounds will spawn, and if you don't want to convert your star staff, you can take it out again roughly right after the 6th spawn (or 5th to be safe, but you can usually get 6). The werepigs/hounds will turn to moonrock and I hop over the relic chairs to mine them all and then repeat. In the long winter nights, I could usually do the event 4 times before day, and that got me close to a stack of moonrock a night.

Full moon night decor, fireflies and event active and all:

moonstone4.png.2feb0105de2198511f7fed4e2acd6991.png

And, with the moonrock pigs/hounds:

moonstone5.png.e2448c3a6adfc2b997f567acafe59069.png

If I were to build it again, I might put the decor a little further away from the statues, because sometimes I get stuck trying to mine stuff quickly or pick up moonrock, but it works fairly well. Once I remember to bring a lazy forager over the moonrock gathering part at least will be simpler.

moonstone3.png.65e5b54bda452567d94d1895b4f9c684.png

The back of the build (I hid the Wicker bookcase because it didn't really fit with the colour-theme, but here's the books):

I love how your build turned out! Since you referenced mine, I'll show it as well. I built it long time ago but never got to post it - of course because I forgot to finish it (it still needs fireflies).
image.png.dbd438ed06e5b14e97cfde6846e19f9c.png

I don't even bother mining statues there because I don't use it for farming moonrock, only to turn in starcaller staves or get moonrock statues for decor. Once I activate the event, old statues around it come to life and drop their loot on the ground.

And here it is in daylight: image.png.b055236c5ca33f8fea306a0cf9866922.png

I opted to put wicker cabinet and other essentials in a separate little nook above it. This place is also one of my Wanda teleport "pit-stops" for Moonstone: image.png.ac2013e71a975c325df65d54395bf94c.png

Here's the second one I have by Moonstone walrus camp, also lunar-themed. I'm setting them up in every biome for convenience, and theming them after surrounding builds usually: image.png.27cd71d1c264aa7d70eaf52f18fa6d49.png

Finally, here's my Moonstone Winona's telepad as well. I use mini-signs to mark destination points where I have other telepads, and I placed them in the direction I need to step in. Those were tricky to set up (I used a mod for it) and it's still WIP, I'll make a separate post about her teleport network when I finish it. I've been playing her a lot and even opted to main her instead of Wanda after her skill tree came out (ironically, my world is still called Wanda's megabase).image.png.74c039e6b48b038d77e7df515885e24d.png
