Decorations, Shrines and Base Designs

I just noticed I haven’t decorated any of my Sinkholes. @everyone How do you guys decorate your holes?

It's time to share again,and this time I've brought you a few small scenes.

I.Dark sacrifice.On the way from my base to the usual cave,there's a triangular area.I've turned it into an evil cult chamber.Used the skin of a bookshelf to make the scene look full of magical knowledge.

II.Retail store.I use it to store excess sketches.

III.newsstand.I like this table skin,when you put them at certain angle it looks like a counter.

IV.Forget-me-lot Garden.Whenever I think about decoration,I will stay here,harmonious and peaceful.

待到山花烂漫时，她在丛中笑。

V.Bar.I got the chef hat,and decorated it with dishes,now the bar is complete.

Awesome zoo! Reminds me of the one I built in one of my first worlds. I had other pens with volt goats and no-eyed-deer, and my pens were super small (koalefant ones hosted only two of each kind in each). Here's more ideas for what you could add to yours: slurpers, pigmen, beefalo, otters, rabbits, moles. Oh, and don't ever bother with bats! It's impossible to trap them in a pen, they sadly despawn after a while, and cannot be baited. I learned that the hard way when working on a small build I called "Church of Batptism" in a desperate attempt to make my cave entrances clear of bat drops (it really annoys me how cluttered they become over time with bunnymen hatches around). Even though the build didn't work for that purpose I still plan to build it, just without live bats. 

I tried,but some animals were in danger of instability,so I had to give them up.Maybe KLei can modify garlic so that it can repel bats like in vampire novels.

You remind me that I never thought to decorate the cave because bats are so annoying.So far,I've only set up four rabbit hutchs to help me kill the bats.But right now I'm just trying to gather enough holiday cheers to decorate 64 winter's feast tables as quickly as possible. Hopefully it will be in time for the next update.

I simulated adventurer camping on one side of the lake,and planted bananas,monkeytails,and berrybushes around the lake in other areas.Because I don't have a suitable treetrunk area to keep the voltgoat in, so I leave them in the oasis¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

(By the way,did anyone find out the murders at the camp?)

this mod add scoop action for bucket trinket so u can make sandcastle from some turf 
i havent yet figure what else i can do with them .. but i saw in mod page that the sandcastle can be decorated .. need find out more~

The road in DST

Everyone shared their scenes and bases,but few seemed to share the road decorations.So I want to share some road decorations in my own world,hope you like it.

I.Greeting road.

I finally collected enough holidaycheers to finish my decorations before the version update.I saw very beautiful winter's Feast decorations on other forums,I copied one and modified it slightly in my own world.

II.Sandbank road.

I built this section in the antlion desert so I could get from the base to the moonstone.Lunetrees and twiggytrees are perfect for sandyturf,and common berrybushs and haywalls can fill in the gaps below.When the sandstorm comes the area more blurred.

III.Lunar road.

I built piers between the mainland and the lunarisland to simulate a bridge and placed fireflies and knobblytrees on both sides.The fireflies and leaves overhead give the bridge a mysterious atmosphere when the characters pass here at night.(Except building Bridges,I've also seen other players using nautopilot and nautopilotbeacon to simulate autonomous ships.When I find the right coastocean I'm going to make one.)

My construction process is divided into three steps:the first step is to clean and set aside an area of sufficient size,which is usually done by Winona.The first step is done very quickly,I will also change the site and make a general plan for the decoration.The second step is to place the building and the wall,which is usually the main part of the decorative content,and from here I will replace the Wickbottom to get some of the supplies (because I often waste materials).The third step is to add the appropriate details,this is also the most troublesome step.There are so many items in dst that it is necessary to distinguish their style and fit.I tend to put the first two steps on hold for a long time,waiting for inspiration to complete the last step,so it's not that I'm too fast,it's that I've put them on hold for too long.

omg! It looks so cute! I must push the update of this mod. The recipe is a bit too expensive imo u.u I also added the ability to put bees in there. I’ll push the update later today~

It didn’t take me too long at all! I used the Fountain of Youth from Hamlet as reference and I already had the vision of what I wanted in my head so took about an hour to draw it. There were tweaks to the animation that needed to be done due to the custom drawing & issues with decompiling/recompiling, and then I added the mechanic to be able to collect Rose Water from it (only while it is on) with an empty bottle. Total about 3 hours? There is a small clean up I want to do in the flow_pre animation because the transition isn’t very smooth, though it might not be noticeable to many I still want it as close to perfect as possible. It’ll take me about a minute to fix but I am being a lazy gremlin. 
 

Being able to add whatever I want has been super fun. Can’t wait to share it with everyone~

You know what the saplings look good too, I kind wanna log in my world and test the Embalming Spritz on it. I’ll fill my swamp if it works. Too bad there’s no “young” version of it.

unfortunately i the spritz is currently out of my hands. i am not skilful enough for the rift stuff x''D i would have to invite someone with talent into my world, hahaha
