It’s a video gaming convention- like Gamescom (August 23) or Electronics Entertainment Exposition (E3 normally in June)

Its when we get to see trailers and announcements such as brand new updates or DLCs from game development companies so we will know what to look forward to in the upcoming couple months/years.

I am personally hoping Klei does make an appearance at one of these gaming conventions to reveal an Xbox Series X/S Dont Starve/DST game- it saddens me that my version of the game has to be “held back” with content update plans & ideas because Klei still has to support the older hardware.

They have outright admitted that the PS5 and Series consoles would be fully capable of all the PC versions bells & whistles (minus mods) Aka- Higher player count limit, bigger worlds, crazier world Gen settings, lots & tons options for world Gen etc.. I would also imagine a next gen version would feature fun ambience/design  changes such as more detailed scenery.

I keep hoping Klei will announce something don’t starve related for the X/S but they haven’t even teased anything about it yet.

A big gaming convention reveal however- would be where they are likely to get the most “hype” and get people talking about it if one was to be revealed.

Actually- none of the games I bought a next gen console for have even came out yet.. those would be: Gotham Knights, Suicide Squad kill the Justice League, Grand Theft Auto 6, And State of Decay 3. 
However since this is the Klei forums for Dont Starve Together I am obviously going to talk about and show favoritism for DST. All those other games are irrelevant to the topic of this post (save for the fact they may get new trailers at one of the above mentioned gaming conventions) 

Op asks if KLEI will be present at one of these Events, and I’m just stating that if they were, what I’d like to see.

Do keep in mind that Nintendo switch just got a Year+ worth of content updates, so if Klei wanted to slip into Nintendos Announcements to show the world a trailer of that (and get the switch update more widely known) that’s always a possibility.

Ive tuned into these shows before just to see “world premiere” reveals for new DLC fighters coming to a game I was playing. Today (August 23) is Gamescom & unsurprisingly Multiversus is getting a update today.. likely to go alongside whatever they reveal during the show.

I did not buy my console for a next gen DS game, but it would still be freakin great if Klei would make one.

This is an example of what Gamescom, E3, And PaX are.. TL:DR- outlets in which video games or movies get announced (sometimes they even get reveals at Comic-Con..)
