abrocator
I don't see a problem with them. Easy meat. Walrus distraction. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/142107-why-do-tallbirds-still-exist/page/2/#findComment-1589113 Share on other sites
Antynomity
They just need to spawn more often in worlds lmao, also the fact that they are a 'Failed Experiment' and literally kill their offspring is pretty damn hilarious. Astraia
Tallbirds are fun to fight, they also grant easy meat, and can distract walruses for you, if you are lucky enough Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/142107-why-do-tallbirds-still-exist/page/2/#findComment-1589399 Share on other sites
Mike23Ua
Crazy suggestion here: but if we could say toggle off the ability to put a bird in a cage and get eggs from it- wouldn’t that mean we would then be forced to steal the eggs from Pengul or Tallbirds to make our Pierogi with? I would love to see them be able to “kill themselves” actually, by attempting to peck you, hitting the ground and damaging their own health- they flash red and let out a pained cry already so it would’ve made sense.. Tallbirds are pretty cool though, they look funny, they give meat and egg, and they are iconic to the Dont starve franchise. Can their loot tables have new resources added to them? Oh absolutely! Would be a good way to get feathers or even Tallbird legs (which would be a mildly morbid version of a spear/tentacle spike you can attack enemies with.) I mean they have long legs with sharp claws on them… if I was in a survival situation (what people forget DS/DST is intended to be..). I sure as heck would Duck Tape a sharp birds claw to the end of a stick as a makeshift weapon.
