degr
I start new colony, so I need new sour gas boiler. Now it look like wasp: Each time I build boiler, natural gas fly somewhere where it is not intended to be, and I'm doing some kind of door pump or other perversions to remove natural gas from "sour" chambers. Current model was done to prevent such kind of troubles. From my opinion it is simple as hell (if hell is not simple, sorry ****) - petroleum fall down in the middle of wasp body, and going to the tail, where it is boiled with "heat source". Only automation is in a tail, which stops petroleum stream, if heat source can't boil current amount of petroleum (>20kg). Tail done in a next way: gold tiles, lead (from 2 metal tiles), gold tiles, steel door and heat source. Temperature sensor inside of lead keeps temperature around 560. Then sour gas going to the head of wasp, heating petroleum (tiles which separate sour chamber from petroleum chamber is golden heavy-watt conductive wire bridges, empowered with normal conductive wire bridges and automation ribbon bridges. Sour gas going to the head, and transform into methane. It is pumped to the top of head, where flow bottom, pre-chilling sour gas. Finally, wings part contain pumps, which "pump" gas into the "leg" part of wasp, chilling sour gas even more. Input is petrol 80C, output is natural gas 160C. From benefits, it is completely maintainable - you may set up viscogel locks, and dupes will be able to walk into any part of boiler From cons - couple times during start-up gas somehow flow into petroleum chamber. Have no idea how it happen, most probably need to continuously add petroleum in amount of 10g per second. And startup was pretty long. However, it starts without any interactions. blakemw
Note that heavi-watt joint plates don't actually exchange heat with their "knob" tiles. This is easy to demonstrate in sandbox. Both heavi-watt conductive joint plate and metal tile are 100 kg and can be made of the same material. And it's easily demonstrated that the heat transfer properties (say between liquid tiles) for both are identical, with the presence or absence of knobs having no effect whatsoever. wachunga
Also note that power and automation bridges lack the thermal mass to excel at transferring heat, they "work" but steel/aluminum conveyor bridges are much superior.
