Wood piles. Stacks upon stacks of pyramid shaped wood piles.

To reduce the lag and generally have a sort of a storage without needing chests. Just piles of wood. Maybe stacking up to 200 or 400 logs, when you pick some logs out of it - you get a whole stack out.

In addition to that - board piles. Maybe rock piles too. Could be cool to have those instead of just single items stacked upon stacked on top of each other.

Sorta similar to ticket piles as what I'd imagine.
