LiamAshvinn001 Posted May 12, 2022 Share Posted May 12, 2022 I just wanted to make a thread on DST's art. First, IT IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. It is extremelly unique and fun to look at! Here's some of the best original art style i could find! I mean just look at it. THAT IS DST ART AT ITS BEST WX testing his new Speed circuit! Just... OMG I LOVE THIS FRAME. And this bird.. Chester.. ripoff Now of course the Klei doesn't use this art style anymore. Here's some of the highlights from the newer art style which is still pretty good! The aesthetic for this one is just INSANE Fun Fact: Klei based this one off of the communitys reaction to the wolfgang rework! IDK I just really like this frame. Of course Alter with his lemon eye! (all seriousness this was a pretty insane looking short! Poor Wilson.. he found out hes getting a rework Of course Id include the archives! I mean this is a really underrated scene. The flip Wilson you gave the small child no winter gear or thermal? You think I would forget this? Dont Starve has some of the best art in any game I have ever seen. Its really unique and while some people dont like the new art style, its still pretty good! Theres lots of more other insanely good art out there I just picked the ones that I feel are more underrated and the artists at Klei keep up the good work! Klei is one of the best companies out there and I cant wait to see the next update! I really like the way the newer animations have better visual effects and still feel DST! I would still consider it as the newer art style just based on how it doesn't have the features of the older art style and just looks more like the newer one, especially the way the characters are drawn, thought it does have a more similiar grim tone to the older style. Eh, I think it has all of the features (the lack of white outline is present in other older animations too iirc) it also animated in a very different from new animations way (just feels more alive to me, idk) Dst never had a one really consistent style but you can see a difference between newer and the older one and I think Inevitable belongs in the latter category. No pencil mark-like things everywhere, but a more smooth animation type. I LOVE the look of the ancient fuelweaver, along with the most epic name you could ever hope for.
