random character enters the game, with face and any discerning features/spawning items obscured so the player can't guess who they might be

you'd have to keep playing to learn who your character is.

the items can be hidden behind something similar to bundles. Bonus points if the "bundles" are gatekept by something easy to get/make but not as easy as simply right clicking on them.

I once played a mod where you played as the random guy from the picture and your perks changed each morning to someone esle's. Too bad it always crashed on day 4.
