People considered the spiders usettling more than cute and the music it's a problem on the way the game handles the start of music where you have to start an action to start it, you swing once a tree to make work music start, you punch once a mob for fighting music, same goes for gardening. 2 hours ago, Szczuku said: The devs saw how much they can get away with. I mean, in the switch trailer the survivors are straight up potrayed as if they're on an adventure. The game on it's own has shifted from the original singleplayer game, the 2021 gameplay trailer shows the survivors in various adventures, which is different from the launch trailer where the survivors are struggling to survive and it has been like this from even before. 2 hours ago, Szczuku said: I don't see any benefits to what Klei is doing with artstyle and lore of dst other than 'more children interested in game, more money in pocket'. What about time? A new animated trailer needs to be made almost every bimester, which is different from the ANR trailers which had 5 trailers over the course of a year and some of them didn't even reached one minute, last year alone there where 8 trailers with the character ones being full animated and over 2 and a half minutes; in one of the streams they even said that they had all the animators work on the Wolfgang short. 2 hours ago, Szczuku said: I understand that teams change and not everyone can perfectly copy oryginal artstyle but come on, Minecraft is older than dst and yet its cubes haven't turned into spheres yet. That's an exageration of the situation with the trailers, it's not like they are turning the characters into an unrecognisable blob. The shift in the art direction is as big as many say it is, just like how Faintly Macabre has pointed out. And speaking of Minecraft, even the players have complains about the art style Spoiler From r/GoldenAgeMinecraft: Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/139716-old-art-style-vs-new-art-style/page/2/#findComment-1564667 Share on other sites
