We also got RWYS which has completely changed the food aspect of the game for me once I learned I could just make an all-season garden of carrots. But I guess to be fair Shipwrecked really trivialized a lot of Singleplayers difficulty so food has been pretty easy to get since Shipwrecked. Falkenpelz
Honestly, I would really not like that. It would take the adventure and foraging out of the pseudoscience stuff. I always understood the lore behind the pseudoscience station in a way, that you don't need it to physically craft anything, but you also never actually LEARN how to make things from it, because it is magic beyond the human mind's comprehension, so you only have the understanding of how to combine certain magical items as long as you are in the presence of the station - if you move away, you don't have that knowledge anymore, it's the station that temporarily expands your mind, but only if you are in the range of its power. This isn’t the same game we were playing in 2013.. and personally I’d like it to feel like a 2022 sequel. Sadly it’s still got quite a long way to go before it ever reaches a near 10 year in the making sequel quality for me (as I’m sure others feel the same as well..) BUT- I can’t help but think maybe the entire point of these newer content updates was to give us new stuff to see, explore and do- while making all the older stuff more accessible. As just an example: If FuelWeaver was the Original “End Game” but now Celestial Champion is the new “End Game” then they’ll make FW downgraded to mini-boss whilst X true end game fight takes away his former glory. it’s a trope that all video games ESPECIALLY Sequels does. Case in point: The last and final boss fight of Spelunky 1 is meet as early as Stage 3 in Spelunky 2.. it’s simply a matter of Out with the Old & in with the New.
