DST shipwrecked (and maybe hamlet) DLC!!!

Shipwrecked was by far the best part of DS in my opinion. But DST is better than DS because i can play with friends. So it would be awesome if you guys added shipwrecked as a DLC to DST. It would also be a good way to get a bit more money. Because normal updates are free, but if this was added as a dlc people could (and they definitely would) pay for it.

This is one of the first few things I asked for when I first joined these forums and the developers informed me it would take 4-5 years to properly port SW/Hamlet into DST and that in the end it may not even be worth the effort they put into doing it.

This makes me deeply sad but I understand. Still won’t stop holding out hope that they’ll fill up DSTs empty oceans with biomes, mobs and resources from those DLCs though..

That's an interesting suggestion. It would make sense for me if the ocean had islands similar to the Shipwrecked ones. It would be interesting if you could have a chance of spawning on them if you play on Wilderness mode (or force spawning on them through a world setting).

More importantly then that klei has proven through the existence of Lunar Island that they are fully capable of creating islands with their own unique mobs, resource or resource variants, climate & weather effects.

When you step foot into the Lunar Island or Lunar Grotto Sanity is replaced with Lunacy..

So in the same light: is it really so hard to believe that Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer couldn’t behave differently on another land mass same as how Sanity & Lunacy get flipped?

Imagine a large area of biomes where when it’s Autumn on the main land it’s Windy Season on that island, Winter frigid frost & frequent blizzards, Spring Frequent rainfalls and floods, Summer fire tornadoes (because those exist in real life and they are as terrifying as they sound.)

A lot of people want direct SW and Hamlet ports into DST- I’m not one of those people.. I want that content added to the game yes, but updated to feel like I’m playing a game that’s getting updates in year 2022..

In other words, reuse the mobs, biomes & resources.. but represent it in new and creative ways.

As an example- I made this image a few years ago as my “Suggestion” to re-design the Oasis Biome, by moving it Away from where it’s located now & making it it’s own “island”
