Urgent problem happened! HELP PLEASE

Recommended Posts

Permanent Death is Permanent, I know that’s a concept not to many people “like” but it’s a concept the Dont Starve franchise has always used: I never get much of anywhere in my DS single player games because one simple Mistake means your starting over in a new world all over again.

With DST you can remove the permanent dying as an option (which is good if you just want to goof off and use your bought or earned skins to make a pretty base) but the Permadeath is a core selling point of the franchise.

State of Decay & State of Decay 2 are games based on permanent death too: Play cautiously or watch your favorite character get ripped apart for your dumb decisions.

These types of games don’t appeal to everyone.. and in fact only a small number of players enjoy Permadeath style games.

But the Dont Starve franchise & State of Decay both respectively make their names off of it.

Losing all your hardwork sucks, but it’s also part of the experience your playing: Sorry for your lost world though OP, hopefully you got some nice screenshots to keep it in your Memory forever :wilson_love:

This house no longer exists at all because I was murdered by trap while exploring an underground temple. But I still have this photo of “what once was”

I also have a game clip of a Hero in State of Decay who survives the impossible only to later die anyway to a stroke of bad luck.

These are selling points of these types of franchises and while DST has somewhat departed away from that playstyle: It’s still what the franchise made its name off of. You play these types of games knowing that your playing a permanent death experience.

Some people like myself genuinely enjoy that- but when I’m playing with friends or just want to spend time enjoying a new content update without worry: I Play on Endless so the added stress of “failure means I lose it all” doesn’t apply.

But I don’t want Klei to forget their roots either: they should still support their original audience, & the more casual this game becomes: the more I worry it will forget the roots it started from.

Thank you again to all.

This is very nice! THANKS :wilson_love:

Normally I wouldn't take any screenshots but I think I felt it the day before and I took one screenshot 'winter feast' memory.

Let this be a memory here too.

And this is only I have now. I guess I can only remember this place of my base...:wilson_tranquil:
