Hi! A bit of backstory for the question, I'm editing a dont starve mod solely because I wanted to change the colour of one of the sprites, so I download the mod, extract the sprites with ktools, do my edits, and now I just have a bunch of folders with edited sprites and the .scml to go with it, but I'm not sure how to compile it back to the way it came. I'm not experienced in the slightest with dont starve mods so please forgive me if I'm asking something obvious. Many thanks in advance

What I do is have a separate folder in the mods folder for having the game autocompile stuff. In that folder I have 2 folders named anim and exported. Drag the image folders and the .scml file into the exported folder then start up the game. If you have Don't Starve Mod Tools, the game's autocompiler should make your anim.bin, build.bin, and atlas.tex in the anim folder when you run the game. I may have missed some details but hopefully this works out.

how would I manually compile them?

without running the game? I'd highly suggest just putting them in the folder I mentioned and run the game so it can be compiled. I think DS Mod Tools has a program somewhere in the files that can autocompile without running the game but I don't really remember what it was.

Well, I tried doing that and now my face and head are WAY off center. They look fine in Spriter, though, so I was told I should try manually compiling them.

Are you working on a custom character or something? If you are I can't really help you due to lack of experience in that field

Ah, yeah, I am. Thanks anyway, though!

It does happen, but I don't know why. When opening the game it's the same as running the autocompiler, I don't know any other method to compile.
btw, the autocompiler folder is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Mod Tools\mod_tools
