Seasons As Events

When you make an endless or wilderness server with the seasons turned off I would like the ability to trigger those seasons with an item or something. And I would like that season to immediately then end if everyone on the server is dead. And if no body dies I'd like the game to return to Autumn after enough days have passed that the season should end naturally. If you die during a season because you weren't prepared enough you're just going to keep dying. Takes like an entire real world day for the world to roll back around to Autumn. This would allow terrible players like me a controlled environment to gage how prepared they should be to deal with a season in actual survival mode which is obviously the real Don't Starve expensive. 

Alternatively I'd like the ability to use a portal to Jump from my endless world to a survival world with everything I have on me and sent sent back to my endless world when the party inevitably wipes which somehow sound simultaneously easier and harder to implement conceptually. 

Primarily a console player, obviously. Who else would even want this? A pc player would probably easily mod this into existence.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would need or want this- just exit your world, change server settings to a different season (yes you can do that now) and relaunch it.

No need to spend time adding extra programming code to something you can already do yourself.

world settings are settings you can change after creating the world and world generation are settings to generate a map and cant be undone after the world is generated

you have both kind of settings for the surface and the caves

I still think they're both interesting ideas that would otherwise work within the world's framework but I agree, knowing that I can just turn the seasons off if we death spiral eliminates my concerns and enables my likely nonsense experimenting without using up the devs resources and time making more worthwhile new features. Thanks guys
