StaunchPotato
Basically the title. The dupe statue is funny, and rockets are cool, but it would be both amazing and stupid to be able to move the planetoid around on the space map by the use of a giant upside-down rocket engine on the surface. A huge crazy layer cake building which gets super hot and eats an involved mixture of high grade fuels (LOX, liquid uranium, whatever). It could require a few high-grade parts/artifacts found in gravitas facilities on the edges of the map, as not to invalidate the conventional rocketry segment. And you get to make top of the tech tree just this giant stupid "mother of all rocket engines" It strikes me as exactly the right amount of harebrained questionable engineering the dupes love, while providing more interesting mechanical consequences than the dupe statue. It's true to the formula of the game's zany engineering. And then you could potentially make a more long thin star map or play around with other ideas for a migratory home base. Flying the home base through a rift would definitely be a worthy playthrough retirement. They used it to crash into other planets though, something that might happen if dupes start using this technology.
