Make eggs not count as meat.

Recommended Posts

Even many herbivore animals eat eggs, as they're much more basic than meats. It is also strange that Wigfrid allows for them and Wurt has to make up some random thing about how she thinks there's a baby bird inside the egg, yet Wigfrid refuses to eat Waffles or Puffed potato, while Wurt has no issues with them.

Making eggs their own foodgroup in all regards (like milk and honey) would fix this issue entirely, as Wurt is already fine with milk and honey, so eggs are really not that out of the question, and unlike Meats, eggs don't have to have an inclusive effect when it comes to dishes (I.e, if you can add meat to a dish, it's a meat dish (With the only exceptions I know of being stuffed eggplant and mandrake soup), while adding veggies/egg/honey/fruit/dairy will always take a back seat to meat when it comes to the type of dish, and won't transform the dish into something wigfrid can't eat.

Wigfrid doesn't even need her examine lines changed, and all that would be needed for wurt is a change to her egg examine line, and her cooked egg and tallbird examine lines. Her eggnog examine line is still incorrectly "sluuuuurp!", anyway.

It would also mean we wouldn't get the frankly bizarre interaction of hounds eating eggnog.

don't starve has some really odd logic, like a dish literally called Veggie Burger yet Wurt can't eat them. I don't really see eggs needing a change, maybe adding a dish made out of eggs only? Kinda weird that you put 4 eggs in and get wet goop.

But then again Klei changed Fire Nettles even though I don't really see many people complaining about it so that's that.
