ravalox
These seem to be the only two substances that refer to its state when there are alternate states of the same substance name, i.e. there is no Solid Sulfur nor Sulfur Gas.
pether
Nothing strange here, oxygen, hydrogen, glass and many other elements use state in their name as well.
ravalox
You are incorrect sir. There is no "Solid Glass" in the solids database. There is no "Hydrogen Gas" in the gas database. There is no "Oxygen Gas" in the gas database. However, there is "Liquid Sulfur" in the liquid database. There is "Solid Nuclear Waste" in the solids database. I have simply pointed out the only occurance of redundancy for these two substances.
