CO in chief
The micro bots are a robotic disease that infiltrate dupes mind when I’m contact and try to drain power by forcing a dupe to either overload the power or make the dupe consume the power itself that may cause the dupe to die due to the electricity flowing through the dupes body. how they are found. the microbots are found in old abandoned monuments that have not been discovered by the dupes and when a dupe opens the monuments there is a 30% chance microbots spawn and infest 1 dupe how to get rid of them Quarantine a dupe manually so it dose not hurt itself or try to overload the power and the robots will shutdown in 2 cycles but you need to look after the dupe so it dose not die of starvation Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/134508-killer-micro-bots-the-robotic-disease/ Share on other sites

Sasza22
Killer nanobots as a germ based disease sounds interesting. Could be a germ that doesn`t die from chlorine. But i see a few issues with the idea: If the bots can infect you in specific places by doing specific things then players just won`t do that. There needs to be something valuable in the "monuments" to give an incentive to risk. I can imagine the dupes chewing (it would look so silly) on cables and acting as a power consumer which might in the end cause an overload or power shortage. Maybe the dupe could release extra nanobots wehn that happens. Quarantine doesn`t currently work too good but that could be a nice reason to bring the mechanic back. I just don`t see how we could intentionally overload a dupe with the current game mechanics. As for now only wires get overloaded. I think what could give the player a reason to go through these places are certain materials like some early steel and plastic or maybe an artifact. But a way to get rid of them is maybe there is a shutdown code dupes need to find to get rid of the nano bots. And I find the idea of the dupes chewing on wires quite cool that leads to circuits overloading Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/134508-killer-micro-bots-the-robotic-disease/#findComment-1505269 Share on other sites
