Graaaape
I was making a custom mod for DST and when i try to play it in-game to check the idle, it just crashes. I have only followed the tutorial I was using which will be at the end of this but when I enable the mod in game and play test for myself, it just closes itself. I tried checking crash logs but i cant seem to find where it is, an explanation would be nice client_log.txt
CarlZalph
@Graaaape Your speech file 'speech_graaapehere.lua' has a syntax error with what LUA believes to be a string missing a quote to terminate it. Line 323 is where it's catching, so check that line and prior to see if you can't find it.
Graaaape
There aren't any errors and I'm checking only the parts I've edited, everything seems to be correct. I will just put the dialogue file here since I can be a dunce haha. Line 323 is just the "NO_TRAP" quote and It's correct speech_graaapehere.lua
CarlZalph
@Graaaape That speech file seems appropriate in syntax. Could you zip up the mod and upload here for more inspection?
Graaaape
Hold on a sec, i can do that. Okay all I did for the file was, in the .scml file i moved some of the parts just so it would fit. In the different limbs .png's (like the arms, torso , legs) i made it slightly bigger and rotated it. Other than that i followed the tutorial i chose graaaape.zip Edited October 12, 2021 by Graaaape AA I SENT THE WRONG ONE
CarlZalph
@Graaaape In the file there I loaded it up on a caverns enabled shard and it has a different log error, invoking that the anim/ghost_graaapehere_build.zip is missing. I see in there it has ghost_esctemplate_build.zip, perhaps you missed a string change somewhere to make autocompiler spit out the appropriate asset name? Editing the current zip name to be the one the mod's looking for caused the server to load.

Graaaape
Thanks for helping me so far! Is it okay if, once you are done to send the reason why it happened and how to fix it next time (not only the fixed folder). That would be appreciated. ^-^ Again thanks a lot

CarlZalph
@Graaaape It's just the animation zip file name output that needs to be changed, so I'd surmise that the spriter scml file's output needs to be changed, or the scml file name itself. I'm not sure, I haven't touched spriter stuff much.
