Sir Noel
The cook book is nearly perfect, but right now it's just strange. Why not show me the value of meat/veggie/fruit/etc I need so I can always make a dish again instead of showing me the last thing I used that could have been a 50/50 of another recipe? If this was an actual thing I would never have to look up recipes again and I would 100% make the cook book every world. Not sure if this has been suggested before, apologies if so! Ohan
imagine that! a cookbook that actually tells u the required ingredients of a certain dish Im not sure why this hasnt been the case from the very beginning. As it is now it only tells you what you already know which in the case of a newbie (supposedly the demographic for whom the cookbook was made in the first place) is nothing. like @GenomeSquirrel correctly pointed out in the gen. disc. cookbook thread. Spoiler this would require a lot of work i imagine but i think something similar to the gardeneer-hat system of examining stuff would be amazing for the cookbook. A system where examining ingredients would show u or hint at that ingredient's possible recipes somehow... that idea aside, i definitely think already discovered recipes should show you their specific required ingredients. Otherwise whats the point? I never consult the wiki with regards to farming because the plant compendium tells me everything i need to know but i regularly look up crockpot recipes because i forget the required ingredients of certain dishes frequently.
