poppery
when the first time i arrived the moo asteroid, I was shocked by the tons of meat that lying on the ground. So I want to gather those moos in one place and when they die a sweeper can deliver the meat to a lanucher. The question is, can I use an airborne critter bait behind wall? I know that thing will be destroyed once a critter touches it. but will it attract the critter if it is sealed inside a room? pether
Don't use that building, its a bait. Enclose animals in a room, put critter drop-off there, set maximum critters to 0 and auto wrangle surplus. Now dupes will wrangle and move them. Or you could use "Wrangle Fliers" mod (if it is updated) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/133916-airborne-critter-bait-usage/#findComment-1498006 Share on other sites
KonfigSys
Moos appear on the asteroid as mooteors, so they are falling from the sky (there is no sky there but whatever). So it is a good infinite source of meat. Just make a flat surface all over the top using any tiles and use the autobot to collect meat (that is the only good usage of the bot anyway - the one which is in temperature building choices). Have a sweeper at the bot docking station. I would not mess around with baits at all - it does not work well - it should be an OPENED path for moos to reach it; otherwise it does not work. It also has some range. Pether, your solution may not work for him. As I understand he does not want to have dupes on the asteroid but a mean to automatically collect meat from dead moos and send to another asteroid.
