Since it is a carnivorous plant, why not consume the excess of creatures and during the digestion process it releases small amounts of resin. That way we would have a more pleasant, honest and continuous resin production. We must also take into account that resin is only the raw material for the production of isoresin and achieving this at only 25% does not seem to me to be very balanced as it is.
