Newbiespud Posted December 10, 2020 Share Posted December 10, 2020 I'm looking for a way to make custom battle preview anims for modded characters, like with an image with transparency and some basic parameters. Not only so that I can flip these two around for my mod... ...but I figure for anybody else who is working on a custom character mod and may one day want to add art for them. RageLeague Posted December 10, 2020 Share Posted December 10, 2020 Flipping the character model might be easier, because you can just reuse the code for flipping characters in a conversation. Also, adding custom animations allows for custom character animations, battle animations, and so on, which would be nice if I know how to do any of that. Newbiespud Posted December 10, 2020 Author Share Posted December 10, 2020 Yeah, but I figure that the modular pieces that go into character and head builds are a lot harder to make a public-facing pipeline for than, y'know, an image with transparency that moves a little bit. Developer rooks Posted December 15, 2020 Developer Share Posted December 15, 2020 The boss preview animations are actually full-on anims, which are the same format as the character models. Internally they are a flatter hierarchy and use one-piece images but that does mean it's not possible to just drop-swap the textures at the moment.
