Mooagain
I sent a ship onto space, but it says I need to map out the planet before I can land on it. There aren't any rocket modules that can map out the planet from orbit.
suicide commando
You drop a rover module, then use the orbital cargo module to drop some refined metal, followed by a trailblazer module to drop a dupe, who constructs the landing platform so your rocket can land. suicide commando
Yes there is. You first have to put it on your rocket, then have a dupe deliver metal ore to it and construct the rover. Once the rocket is in orbit around a new asteroid, you can deploy the rover from the command module's menu in the capsule.

I did all that, but when I try to place the rover in the black void, nothing happens
suicide commando
then you're not looking properly, there should be some visible part of the top where you can land it.
