FlatTiger
I was playing on the latest alpha test and for fun send a dupe to another asteroid, happened to be the old terra layout. My suggestion would be if possible to have a different day/night time on the asteroids. Maybe like our solar system, make the starting biome have a "normal" day cycle. On other asteroids like 20% longer night time or longer daytime depending on the distance to the starting planet or "sun". Or even when going to another asteroid there will be daytime while it is night on the other asteroid. Any thoughts on this?
Primalflower
I very much enjoy this idea but it is playing a dangerous game with plug slug balance
FlatTiger
True but perhaps you could benefit by sending night owl dupes to an asteroid where its longer night time to benefit his traits
Steve8
Another way this could help is with solar panel balance. Right now there are no meteors on the starting asteroid. Maybe this isn't implemented yet, or maybe they want to make starting rockerty easier. Which isn't a bad idea. But it makes setting up solar panels and power a non-brainer. This could be balanced by making them far less effective. Longer nights, or just decreasing the solar intensity. Then later planetoids could have full sunlight, but you have to deal with meteors
