Rodriguez Spacefarer Module

Recommended Posts

So, i spent a few hours compacting this, and I managed to g et a Rodriguez Rocket!

This is using the Spacefarer Module. Bit of a Warning though, i didnt test it for long, but it worked quite well (I was up to 7 cycles) before i had to go to sleep, so im not exactly sure if you'd need an Atmo Suit to protect the Duplicant against the heat (70*C) so not completly sure on that

And btw, yes, im terribly Sorry, it wastes 3 Tiles... but all but one is used as decor tiles which is nice i guess

So, when Dupes give water into the tank, once enough water gets put into it (Rocket is Landed at a Planetoid), a hydro sensor detects the amount of water inside, and closes the Airlock. If a dupe gets trapped inside the Tank chamber, no worries theres a Dupe motion sensor to open the door for them.

In the Bottom, you have an Oxyfern planted by a Pip to a Natural Tile, which you get by putting 2 Insulated tiles on the side of a Manuel airlock, and 2 Regular Tiles on the insulated ones, and breaking the Airlock. (in a 3x2 Space, (X,Y))

Also, if you add Pixel Packs you can get a +3 to Decor Morale, which is quite nice, (no need to power them)

So yeah, enjoy this design if you like, and uh good luck!

would it kill you to add a shinebug? :):encouragement:

ha, i like that we can see 'plumbing' out one window...

what could you get for taking out the wheel and subbing in a slug? could it be un-confined in the HY gen room? Also provide decor(i never use the stuff)? get a lunch table for that i think(also really dont use)? could trade the wheel for a cot with a slug yes?

Is someone going to tell these people who spend hours in designing (amazing) micro bases inside rockets that you can actually melt the walls and build outside? :)

I'm guessing you built this in sandbox/debug mode? because I'm pretty sure you can't put a hydro sensor on top of an and gate, even if it's in the 'open' spot on the gate

I'm not sure about the sensor, I can't remember if I've done precisely that but I've build many gates behind buildings, overlapping their automation port (with the empty spot of course). I got sometimes a warning but everything seemed to work fine.

I like the Idea of a Shine Bug, not a bad idea considering theres a bunch of space in the rocket, but the Plug slug only works during the night and im pretty sure that it wouldnt produce enough power, considering you wouldnt place anything electrical wise where the wheel is anyhoo as it would break the Building's Plug, in other words beeing you wouldnt be able to expand the Battery system **with this type of Setup**. Also a Manuel Generator doasnt hurt to have considering the Dupe still has nothing to do during the day

Yes I used Sandbox, and Debug, but you still can do it in a regular game, yes I tested it. (the empty spot doasnt colide with the gate)

And I mean the Devs are probably going to replace the rocket tiles with a neutronium with a different texture soon, since that just completly breaks the rocket's core mechanics.

Also i did Modify the Automation a tiny bit, just adding a Hydrogen Buildup System in the pipes so the

And heres the Decor if you Replace the Insulated tiles with Gold Metal ones, and add a shine bug, you get +200 (or more) everywhere in the bottom chamber, and the Shine bug sometimes giving the Lit Workspace Modifier, but the issue is that if you do add a shine bug, theres a decent chance of your Duplicant beeing Unrested because of the light during the night, UNLESS you have a Duplicant who needs a night light, that would work well for them. Decorwise, the Morale is +9 With the addition of Gold Metal tiles :D

cool work kudos! still curious if the ship flies 10% faster with the buff.

It's the engines that provide the power, not the dupe steering. However, the dupe could increase the throttle since they can steer better. I doubt it would be hard to implement, just decrease the flight time.
